She has created waves across the region and the world and she still continues to do so, since being branded as a recording artist in May 2008. The name Tarah Holdipp has created that buzz and all eyes are now on her.
This former two time pageant winner, has broken many barriers by setting new standards in the industry as many are very impressed with her overall marketing and packaging.
With two (2) music videos now under her belt for the hot soca tracks ‘All Nite’ and ‘Love De Carnival’ with a tagged video of “Push Back” one can only wonder, what to expect next. The latter of the two videos is enjoying tremendous success across the globe. Being the first tagged video produced in Barbados, it has been featured in the top ten videos of Synergy TV, Trinidad for over 3 months and can be viewed on BETJ and Tempo.
Eleven (11) hot recordings form part of these accomplishments and one can see the differences in styles used by Tarah as each track is very unique from each other. These tracks include her newest track ‘Hottie Hottie Gal’, 'Bad to De Bone' and Caribbean Girls a collaboration with Peter Ram.
Known for her distinctive and powerful voice, this fashionista brings to the stage explosive and dynamic energy coupled with loads of experience. Her experience came compliments of her performing in two nightclub bands, namely Xzibit1 and Full Swing. She also competed in the Barbados Queen of Song and placed 2nd then went on to win the Spirit of the Nation Show talent competition. Turn the page over to the year 2007 and one would have seen one of her most memorable performances to date, that is when she entered for the first time and placed 5th in the Party Monarch Competition.
She was nominated for three (3) BMA’s in January 2009 in the categories of Best Music Video Female for the song ‘All Nite’, Female Entertainer of the Year and Best Collaboration with Anderson “Blood” Armstrong for the song ‘Dis is Fete’ which they won. She has recently been nominated for Best New Soca Artist at the 2009 International Soca Awards for the song "All Nite" and for Best Music Video Female for the video Push Back/Love De Carnival at the 2010 BMA's. The sky is certainly not the limit.
With a heavy focus on perfecting the craft of her song writing, she is by no means fearful and is ready to take on the world. With a loving and warm personality, the world must now be ready and be prepared for Tarah.
