Interview with Rob Patz of SGMRadio.com at NQC 2008!
I'm just a girl born in Louisville, KY; raised in Winston-Salem, NC. Music has been my passion since I was a very, very little girl. I have a fabulous husband whom I simply and utterly adore, and a fabulous crazy family. :o) I sing because there is a message that God has given me to carry out into the world. There are many others out there like me, but God has put very specific callings onto each of our lives, with very specific people that He wants us to reach, with a very specific message for those people. I'm ready to deliver the message.
Now for the "professional" bio:
“Tara has a genuine heart for ministering to the church and an exceptional voice for just such a purpose,” is how Camp Kirkland describes Tara Jackson.
Born in Louisville, Kentucky, and raised just outside of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Tara grew up in a ministry oriented family. With both of her parents actively involved in the church music ministry, Tara was raised with not only a love for music, but a love for the Lord. At a young age, she began singing duets with her mother, and became actively involved in the children’s choir. During her childhood, God used these experiences and other defining moments to plant a desire in her heart to deliver His message through music.
Throughout high school, being a part of state and national choral programs, along with involvement in an organization ministering to students about abstinence and dating, Tara began to clearly see the path God was beginning to define for her future ministry. However, the passion she feels for her ministry today became deeply rooted in her college years at Appalachian State University, where she took a position in the music ministry at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Boone, North Carolina.
One of her most memorable experiences while at Appalachian State University came through singing and ministering at Hebron Colony, a Christian recovery center for alcohol and drug addiction. Here, God used her voice to minister to the hearts of the program participants.
More recently, Tara has become involved with The Bridge Ministry in Nashville, TN. This ministry was founded in 2004 by Candy Christmas to reach out to the homeless and low-income population of Nashville and the greater metro area. At least twice a week, Tara faithfully sings with Candy and other local gospel artists for the Bridge Ministry. “Every week we encounter new people who have never been told that Jesus loves them and that we love them. Each and every week, I am amazed at how God moves among the forgotten people of our community, and changes lives right in front of our eyes.” Tara's love for the Lord and her desire to see people's lives changed by God exceeds even her vocal talent.
Tara aspires to make music that will reach to the heart of every individual, to see people’s lives changed by the power of God. She says, “I am committed to sharing Christ, and living my life as a testimony of how greatly God can use His children to share His love.”

I am truly blessed with the gift of your friendship. I'm very sorry that I haven't been in touch like I should have lately. With all that has been going on with Winston I have not gotten too many chances to be online. The weeks have really gone by fast. I praise God so much that Winston is improving and is almost back to 100%. Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon. Thank you for understanding and continuing to be my friend.
Love and Blessings Always, Sharon & Family† www.Wingrace.com
Let us know of any work that you might think of us on. We got the praise thing going for us too. We're in love with the Lord and he has blessed us with some of the best talent I've played with. Seriously! We're trying to go for it so if you have any connections that would be good for us, please bless us! See ya round! Tell Mr Rayson I said hello if you still work with him!
Well the time has come to wish greetings on another great American holiday! haha. Hope your Memorial Day is a good one! Not sure what I'll get into. Actually my birthday is next week so maybe I should focus on that. haha. I don't usually celebrate it but this one is a big one! Have a great weekend! --- Izzy.
Hey..... wanted to give you a head's up! Geeze, I know that I comment you to death, but this one is a big one. haha. I've talked it over with my NEW band and we are offically going to go on tour this Summer starting mid-June. It's an acoustic tour and we are looking to book in the area-states; TN, KY, NC, GA, SC, OH, IN, IL, TX, AR, MI, IW, etc. And even CA & Washington due to the large fanbase there! It's going to be a simple acoustics/jazz-like show and if you would like information on how to bring us to you're area or would like to book us, shoot me an email. Although we have already booked most of June already, we are definetly interested in as many venues as possible before late Fall which is hopefully the release of my new, and all original album debut. ;) Yay! Anyway.... would love to come sing in your town! Hit me back. ttysoon --- Izzy @ twitter.com/izweaver

Courage, it would seem, is nothing less than the power to overcome danger, misfortune, fear, injustice, while continuing to affirm inwardly that life with all its sorrows is good; that everything is meaningful even if in a sense beyond our understanding; and that there is always tomorrow. - Words of Dorothy Thompson
There is no secret to success. It takes hard work, preparation and learning from our mistakes to accomplish anything and we ALL can do it!!! Have a great week!---Izzy
