There are just too many... Queens of the Stone Age, Deep Purple, Kyuss, CCR, Janis Joplin, Smashing Pumpkins, Queen, Johnny Cash, Billy Joel, PJ Harvey, Don McLean, Eagles of Death Metal, The Sonics...
The stoner punk n' roll trio Navajo Code Talkers (2002 - 2005) was about to go to SXSW when a series of bizarre events led to its death in December 2005. After taking a short break to think things through, the leader of the deceased band decided to start working on her solo career. Due to a spectacular stage accident that happened in NYC in the summer of 05, Tara Lee had a knee surgery which prevented her from going back on stage before spring of 2007.
With the help of drummer Denis Jr. Richard (BAM) and guitarist Marc "Blaze D." Desjarlais, she recorded her first alt-country-stoner-rock full length album, Whether We Shall Repel, which was launched September 21st 2007. With a great new guitarist on board (Aaron Deck), the band is presently touring Canada and the United States, working on its first video and writing songs for a second album. Are you ready?
