Tara Rava is not only my name, but as well describes me as the individual that I am. The uniqueness of my physiology is that I originate from two distinct cultures. My father was born in Russia and my mothers parents were born and raised in Italy. The Italian and Russian characteristics are obvious in my features and qualities. I truly believe that I have become "world obsessed" because I was raised in such a strange family! I was raised in a house located in the middle of the woods without the option of watching TV available; you can imagine that my siblings and I definitely entertained ourselves. During the winter, we go cross country sledding which is a sport that I'm pretty sure we invented. :)
The other main factor in my life that contributes to my being- is the small community that I grew up in. The close knit town of 2,000 people residing in the beautiful state of Montana has also has a large influence on my personality.
I am engaged! My fiance is a Persian cat (haha) who speaks seven languages. He's an amazing person. Together, we own a beautiful home and have two fuzzy kids together. One is Tala; he is a German Spitz. The other is Scarlett O'Hara, who is a Russian Blue. We still have no plans for a wedding, but someday in the near future hopefully...
I currently reside in North Carolina, but that won't last for much longer. I've recently been accepted and admitted into Harvard School of Public Health in order to earn my Doctorate of Science degree in Epidemiology. I will be heading to Boston this fall!!!
Prior to graduate school at Harvard, I earned my Masters degree in Industrial Hygiene which is basically environmental investigation and safety. I graduated with high honors. :D
Music is more than a tune and lyrics for me; I am consumed by it! My favorite band is Anathema. I did see Anathema in concert. They were absolutely flawless, just as I expected!! They sounded identical to their recordings (if not BETTER in real life.) Not only were they great onstage, but they were lovely in real life as well. Meeting them makes me appreciate and hold in pride, my tattoo even more so than when I initially got it! My only desire, is that I get to see them much more in the future!
As for my pictures, I hope you enjoy them! They have been taken all over the world with photographers of many descents. Every picture definitely has a great background story to it; maybe someday, I'll provide you with that information. :) Until then, I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy taking them.
To photographers: I love getting my pictures taken and being in front of the camera. Humor and comfort with photographers is something that I like to strive for and achieve within every shoot. It allows for a more relaxed environment, which in turn awards ameliorate pictures.

I love reading! If I have any extra time, then you'll probably find me with my face in a book. I specifically like to read autobiographical books that take place within other countries. As an example, I've just finished eight books that detail specific stories and regions in the Middle East. I've read many books and now feel adequately versed in regards to many issues that lay within the Middle East. This is my favorite quote from all of the books, though, and I hope you find the irony within the context. I wish I could do more than display my opinion, but for now, I will wish for that in the future.

I would call myself a vagrant becuase it's difficult for me to stay in one place for me than a couple years. I have lived and traveled all over the world! A few countries that are included within my list include: Spain, Mexico, Greece, Honduras, Romania, Egypt, Jordan, Cyrpus, and more.
I don't speak fluent Greek, but agree that I should speak and read more fluently since I lived there for a couple years. Den milao ellnika, mono ligo. Parakalo, milas masi mou sta anglika. But please, send me emails in English! Thanks. :)
I love languages! Yes, I learned all of them after the age of 22; therefore, I have errors and am in the constant learning cycle, but I love learning all the same.
Spanish: Hola mis amigos! Me vive en Mexico por 3 meses y estudie espanol a mi universidad por un ano. Tambien, tuve un amigo de Espana me hablaba todas las dias solo en espanol por 3 meses. Ahora, puedo hablar espanol, pero definitivemente necessito practicarlo. Si quieres escribirme en Espanola, esta bien. Bueno. Me voy. :) Cuidate!
