Who am I? An Atlanta/Decatur-based educator and performer. I teach beginning guitar lessons to kids as young as 6 and grown-ups as old as 66. I've been playing music and songwriting ever since I was in high school, and just recently I finally put together two fabulous CDs named "Music for Traveling Tots" and "Jelly Bean Tree." I hope you like them!
Some interesting thoughts about my songs. "Peanut Butter and Jelly" started off as a humor song for adults, kind of like something Adam Sandler would do. I noticed that it had potential appeal to children so I toned down some of the lyrics and made it family-friendly. I still think the song is pretty funny, but I bet now you can really hear its roots. "The Monster Under My Bed" is about this blue monster puppet that I'm working on and hopefully will have him perform in a YouTube video soon. I wrote "Red Light, Green Light" because I really wanted a freeze dance song that I could use in my classes. It's great because it's pretty much a musical version of the game that we all know and love. "The Song I Wrote for You" is a song that is intended for adults and it's about how I felt right after my grandfather passed away. I wrote this one in memory of Tony Chiusano, my favorite grandpa who supported all of my dreams.
I really believe that it is important to follow your dreams and do what you love. I have seen my music touch the hearts of little children and it has brought me so much joy. If you like my music, please tell all of your friends. Thanks for your support!
