TARD is heavily influenced by the writings of Dr. Deepak Chopra, the poetry of Yeats, the music of Zanfier and his magical pan flute, the wisdom of our ancient ancestors who came to America in the 1800s and conquered the Mexicans, people who whiten their teeth, baby Jesus in his manger, men who get pumped and vascular and the women who service them, pornography in all its forms, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Thundar the Barbarian, Rick Hunter and the defenders of the SDF-1, and finally anyone who can appreciate the look and feel of genuine hand-tooled saddle leather.

TARD formed in 1995 at a NAMBLA convention in Salt Lake City. Originally a modern dance troupe, the three men who became known as TARD dedicated themselves to becoming completely massive and legendary. Three men whose soul purpose is to burl massively with bowel hemorrhaging hardcore. Although TARD is completely huge in every way, 10 years later, and after adding a fourth, more talented member, the band is still playing most of the same songs in most of the same bars. This is due to a scientific inability to perfect perfection – which TARD achieved sometime around 1997.
