In 1984, John and Donald Tardy started their first band, Executioner (later Xecutioner), with long time friend and guitar player Trevor Peres. By 1989, we changed our name to Obituary, and our first album Slowly We Rot was released. Almost 25 years and multiple releases later we have decided to record some of our own music. Tardy Brothers Bloodline is the first of what we hope are several releases that we plan to invite some of the many friends / musicians we have meet over the years to record with us. For the first release, we have invited new Obituary (former Deicide, Death) guitarist Ralph Santolla and we are bringing back our original Executioner guitarist Jerry Tidwell!!!! We also have solos from 19 year old John Li and long time friend Scott Johnson. Please understand that this project is something Donald and I have talked about and planned for many years and we just never had the time to do it. With the addition of our new studio, it has finally given us the abilitity to get this music recorded. It is not going to affect anything that Obituary is doing nor is it supposed to sound like Obituary.
