Hey Leute, sicherlich hat sich der ein oder andere schon gefragt, warum es in den letzten Monaten keine News von uns gab. Hier nun die Erklärung. Nach der großartiger Liveshow beim Rocktreff Ende Juni in Berlin, hat uns ein herber Schicksalschlag hart getroffen. Am Sonntag nach dem Auftritt hatte unser Schlagzeuger Axel einen schlimmen Motorradunfall. Er musste wohl einen besonderen Schutzengel gehabt haben, dass er diesen Unfall überlebt hat. Seinen linken Arm hat es aber leider so schwer erwischt, dass er ihn weder bewegen kann, noch irgendwas spürt. Nach unzähligen Operationen ist Axel nun für kurze Zeit wieder zu Hause, bis es dann in die Reha geht. Ob und wann Axel seinen Arm wieder wird bewegen können steht in den Sternen. Ihr könnt ihm an dieser Stelle gerne Besserungswünsche etc. schreiben. Wir freuen uns über jede Mail. Mit Target:Blank wird es weitergehen. Die geplante Herbst-Tour, der Singlerelease und der Videodreh wurden zunächst gecancelt. Wir halten euch auf dem Laufenden sobald es News gibt. TARGET:BLANK - hinter diesem Namen verbergen sich fünf verrückte, junge Individualisten aus Braunschweig, für die Musik die Welt bedeutet. Und obwohl Braunschweig natürlich großartig ist, werden die Jungs alles geben, um den Tourbus zu ihrer neuen Heimat zu erklären: Auf der Bühne entwickeln TARGET:BLANK eine Soundwand, die sich gewaschen hat. Dazu gibt es erstklassigen, zweistimmigen Gesang und Bewegung nonstop vom Schlagzeug bis zur Bühnenkante! TARGET:BLANK - das ist emotionale Rockmusik, die ihre Energie aus hartem Riffing, abgefahrener Elektronik und einer unverwechselbaren Stimme bezieht. Kompromisslose Härte trifft auf die Macht der Melodie. So stehen auf dem am 24.07.2009 erscheinenden Debütalbum „Protophonic" moderne Metalsongs neben melodischen Hymnen. Die Band versteht es eindrucksvoll, die gesamte Bandbreite vom heftig rockenden Smasher bis zur intimen Ballade zu nutzen. Das prägende Merkmal von TARGET:BLANK sind aber die Hooklines, die jedem Song seine eigene Stimmung und Einzigartigkeit verleihen. Aufgenommen wurde der Silberling im Horus Sound Studio in Hannover mit Unterstützung von Benny Schäfer (u.a. Celtic Frost, Subway to Sally). Nicht zuletzt der Gewinn des Wettbewerbs FFN New Sensation und das damit verbundene Stipendium ermöglichten der Band, Ihren Sound im Studio weiterzuentwickeln und schon zu diesem frühen Zeitpunkt ihrer Karriere ein erstaunlich abgeklärtes Erstlingswerk abzuliefern. .. .. TARGET:BLANK - barried behind the name are five young and insane individualists from Braunschweig for which music means the world. Although Braunschweig has been a great city, the guys are beefing it out in order to declare the tour bus their new home. On stage TARGET:BLANK develops a sound barrier that errupts into a sound of first class quality, in sync vocals, exceeding drum rythms and non-stop movement. TARGET:BlANK is heavy, emotional rock music that releases energy through undetainable guitar riffs, wicked electronica and a distinguished voice. This is how ruthless hardcore meets the power of melody. "Protophonic,"the band's featured debut album, was released on July 24, 2009 and offers modern medal mixed in with melodic hymns. The band nicely implements the whole bandwidth, from hefty, rockish, smasher music to the intimate ballad of it all. The penetrating attributes of TARGET-BLANK are the hook lines, each one of which offers its own specific vibe and effect. The album was recorded at Horus Sound Studio in Hannover with the help and support from Benny Scäfer (among others, Celtic Frost and Subway to Sally). Vital to theband's musical career is the grant received after winning the FFN New Sensation competition, which is the source of which made this band possible, allowing them to promote and develop their sound in the studio.
