Sounds Like
Neil Young, The Who, Rolling Stones, Santana, Doors, Jimi Hendrix, T-Rex, Bowie, BB King, Nancy Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Glam, Rock, Punk, whatever we've ever heard -- but through the filters of our own tiny little brains, so we sound like Tarpaper Shack!
Tom Marshalek has been writing and performing songs since the 80's. His primary style is Rock/Alternative, influenced by classic groups like the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith, with crossover potential both in the directions of Country and R&B, serving to broaden the appeal of his songs. If you're pitching Tom as a performer, just say "Rock". But if you need a song from another genre for a project, feel free to ask him - he just may have one up his sleeve! Originally classically trained on the violin, Tom is also in demand as a lead guitar player (and occasional fiddler). Working as a mobile disc jockey also gives him the opportunity to keep up on the latest pop, rock, hip hop, and country, and see first hand what makes people dance, sing along, and smile.
Although he is happy often working behind the scenes in the music biz, Tom, still babyfaced at age 46, is also a proponent of the idea that people are open to becoming fans of "new" performers of any age. Not only can they be highly entertained and interested by older performers, but it helps to keep their own dreams alive!
Tom Marshalek is also involved in the Bloomington Songwriter Showcase, which puts on a songwriters in the round show every Monday at the Player's Pub in Bloomington, Indiana.

Hey there, Here's one from left field... Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat? A while back I came across some very disturbing information, which inspired me to make this video: Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4 Both artistic (ensure you've good enough sound to enjoy the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice. Though the source materials are somewhat aged, the fundamentals remain relevant today. I encourage all to visit the YouTube web page above to learn more (Show your support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly re-post and circulate as widely as possible. Help to raise awareness. Say have you checked out my web site (www.faberoptime.com) recently? Take care and keep in touch. Best, Faber. "Just a guy trying to make the world a better place."
