Chris Bourne has garnered worldwide acclaim throughout the music industry over the past decade. He signed the “Tarrentella” project to Whoop Records in 1994, subsequently releasing such tracks as “Substance”, “Karma” and “Columbia”. He has collaborated with numerous renowned artists including: Redanka (Tarrentella Project), Danny Tenaglia (Datar Project), Sander Kleinenberg (SKTR Project) and Satoshi Tomiie (Graffik Project). He has remixed such classics as Derrick May’s ‘Strings of Life’, Duran Duran’s ‘Ordinary World’ and the ‘Gladiator’ film sound track. Chris has recently completed a remix of Spooky’s new single ’Shelter’ and Soul Mekanik's Robots3.
Chris however does not just make music. In 1996, along with Mike Bell and Andy Holt, Chris established the Rip Records label and The Cable Chamber recording studios. It was in these hallowed rooms and on this respected imprint that Chris, and, more recently, his music business partner, Aidan McCauley, have developed such acts as Soul Mekanik and Redanka. Soul Mekanik having written and produced for the likes of Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue in the last year. Redanka has gone on to remix for the likes of U2, Snow Patrol and Fat Boy Slim.
Furthermore, Chris has toured the world over the last decade entertaining audiences world wide. He’s played for crowds in Hong Kong, London, Moscow, Tokyo, New York, Buenos Aires, Sydney, Los Angeles and most recently in Miami at Shine where he was the resident dj with monthly resident Jazzy Jeff.

As you may or may not be aware Rip has been on what we would like to call a sabbatical over the last 18 months. Soul Mekanik after completing
their debut album 81 have been writing and producing for the likes of Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue . They are now back working on their second album as well as releasing a Balearic mix compilation this summer featuring a stunning new single.
Danny and Kelvin will now release their music on their own imprint WONK. Very Mekanikal!
After 3 years or more, Tarrentella reappears with a storming techno release 'Adma'(rip0039).
Chris worked with his long time production partner Andy Holt (Redanka).
Chris said: "Its really good to be back in the saddle after my extended surfin'
sabbatical in Maui. I'm really enjoying the house music I've heard recently."
Jigsaw and Deadly Nightshade are the other parts that make up Tarrentella's new extended player. Available for general consumption in August on the all new RipDigital Label.
RipDigital Signs 'Politeca'
RipDigital also wish to announce the signing of a new act Politeca who will be releasing their debut album in late October 2008. Chris explains:"That this is both an audio and visual project focusing on the realities of the world we live in. It's a real eye opener."
