I discovered music as a young girl.... * I began playing the piano at the age of six and not too far after that I come across roots music… * I began playing professionally around the age of twelve and haven’t looked back since! Now I have expanded my playing and singing style to include 40’s and 50’s jump blues, west coast swing, and even a little bit of soul jazz... * I try to bring spontaneity to every performance I give…. Every show is a chance to express myself... * I was nominated for a San Diego Music Award for best blues artist in 2008.… I can only hope to continue to grow musically and spiritually with each passing year. I hope to have a true sense for the art of music and to bring joy to the people who are listening... **
Amazing! I want Cds by Taryn Donath! Somebody gives me Cds by Taryn Donath! Lovely. Great voice, great hands (with that left hand you do not miss a bass player!), great interpretation. Jump blues, yes, but non only. Similar music choices sometimes lead other artists to mere entertainment: you do entertain but there's much more in your music, which is deep, soulful, intense. The work of the drummer is also wonderful, tasteful; great touch and finesse. You Excellent, Taryn: it's always matter of details. Applause.

yo, I'm headed up to Cafe Boogaloo tonight to stir it up a taste. Wish you could be there to add that sparkle, but it's the eleventh hour on that and far too late. Girl you really rocked Doheny!! It was great a great show just wish it could've lasted longer. Maybe someday you'll make it back up to the South Bay, if you do we'll be there. We might even make it down to your neck of the wood sometime.

Nathan gets here tomorrow to do several shows with me and Gene Taylor, then me & Nathan go up to Denmark to hang with another of our clients in Copenhagen. We're gonna do a few more festival dates in Swedena & Denmark... Ben's gonna come in and they will do some duo gigs while I do some more festivals with our client's band backing me.... I tell you it's just one big stinkin' mess all the time. Crank that lemonaide up baby, old uncle Jim is on teh prowl.
