| About Taryn Noelle |
|
Taryn Noelle, born in Toronto Canada, began her artistic life as a competitive rhythmic gymnast. She later relocated to Stowe, Vermont for high school and turned her attention to musical theatre, studying dance, voice and acting. After years of leading ladies and knights in armor- she left for New York City to study at Circle in the Square Theatre School. "That was a tough but truly rewarding experience, both being in the program and trying to survive in New York City, one that I will cherish and carry in my pocket wherever I go." Last year, Taryn returned home to Vermont and started pursuing a new career path as a Jazz Vocalist. She and long time pal, Joe Davidian recorded Taryn's debut record "On My Way to You", which released in December of 2005. After a year of playing local bars, clubs and restaurants, her first Jazz Festival and trips south playing in Asheville, NC., and in Atlanta, Taryn made a second record, this time a Live one, with former Las Vegas star player, Dan Skea playing keys and doing all the arrangements. Along the way, Taryn discovered a real affinity with the sounds from 1930's Paris and the days of Le jazz Hot, and the great Django Reinhardt, and began playing with local Gypsy Jazz kings, Dono Schabner and Will Patton. "On the horizon...? Travel, broadening my circle of performance for gigs and shows, and listening, always listening...!" This summer Taryn also joins a band of fabulously merry men and one woman- playing with Rick and the Ramblers, doing some heel kicking Western Swing!
