I'm especially into SF/Fantasy, mythology and such, but read lots of things in all sorts of different subjects. I try to be well rounded, even if that means some of my experiences with things are a little shallow. I like to fiddle with technology. I'm a gamer. Big time gamer. I'm starting to write again, Ghu help me.
Music
As a child, country. Got into hip hop/rap in high school, then "alternative" in college. Came back around to folk music since then. My favorites include the Police, the Pogues, the Clancy Brothers, Flogging Molly, Matthew Sweet, Meat Loaf, Wu-Tang Clan, the Beastie Boys... a basic variety. Getting back into funny music after ages in a Demento-less void -- check out The FuMP!
Movies
My faves: The Blues Brothers, The Last American Virgin, Airplane, Serenity, Star Trek II, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Stargate, Dr. Strangelove, Spider-Man 2. Shoot 'Em Up and Snakes on a Plane are great guilty pleasures.
Television
I've mostly abandoned television. I'll still watch Battlestar Galactica, if they ever bother to show the thing again. Heroes. Doctor Who. Torchwood. I still like the occasional Law & Order. I have SG-1, Kolchak, Space: Above and Beyond, a couple of seasons of Hogan's Heroes and the three Crest of the Stars series on DVD.
Books
I read lots of things. A list would be nearly impossible. If it's good, I'll probably read it.
Heroes
Winston Churchill, from all I've heard, was a fellow stutterer.

About me: A shop clerk from Kentucky, into computer and other tech stuff, gaming, movies, reading, and so forth. I have a strange sense of humor. I abandoned television for podcasts a while back.
Speaking of podcasts, I'm one of the hosts of the gaming podcast All Games Considered, the rather infrequent drinking/geekery/music podcast I Wish I Had This Show In Real Life, and the even more infrequent movie commentary podcast Dice! Camera! Action!. I'm also a member of The Rolemonkeys actual play podcast.
I'm dabbling in writing again. You can find my efforts at Mark Kinney Audio Fiction. It's a little slow at first, but I look for things to pick up once I launch Arcadian Gate, my upcoming debut podcast novel.
Who I'd like to meet: Gamers, geeks, SF/F fans, fellow podcasters, and basically anyone else doesn't think I suck. *evil grin*

Hey Mark Kinney!
I think you are one of my HOTTEST FRIENDS, so I nominated you for my Hot Friends list. But are you really HOT enough to be on Hotties for Sale? Find out!
"This eclectic mix is a wonderful resurrection of some of Bowling Green's most powerful voices. One time Rockingham Lane, Marijuana Catfish, Crackfish guitarist/vocalist and Kitty Kitty Kitty frontman Ben is the enigmatic and sublime Chainsaw Red himself. The name being derived from another band member's antics with an imaginary chainsaw. This band comes straight from dominating the Lexington scene where only a triple homicide could stop them! Now reformed and freshly laundered from local stock! Also formerly of Rockingham Lane, Marijuana Catfish, and Kitty Kitty Kitty "Cosmic" Eric provides that unshakable hip-a-billyheadspace beat that only he can. Rounding out the band you find the mysterious and fantastic talents of former Tomatus (and many many other bands) bassist Marty and guitarist Anthony. The Tomatus connection runs right to the roots of the connections this ensemble represents. Capt. Deen the Tomatus drummer was weaned, abused, and nicknamed as a young teen; breaking in the skins as the driving metal machine at the center of the original Marijuana Catfish drum sound. The depth and breadth of the musical influences that are shared in this group are clear to hear. Whether it be the pounding rendition of a classic Dylan rocker done straight up Live 75 or a searing rendition of Johnny Cash these fellows bring the f@king laundry down! The whole kit and kaboodle is rounded out with the original material giving you a range of emotion that is guaranteed to please. Anthony will haunt you with his melodious licks, Marty will taunt you with his Bass as the Cosmic drum kicks, and Chainsaw Red himself will f@king set you in fits. "
Thanks about the Philip K Dick nomination. I'm thrilled you enjoyed the podcast and am happy to hear you're going to pick up a copy! Check out the cover by Jeremy Geddes.
