Four to five piece from Berlin whose members amongst others form part of METABOLISMUS & FLOATING DI MOREL.
Got to know each other back in 1991 when both bands released on SWAMP ROOM that time still run by JG 39, founder of the 39 ClOCKS.
Eight years after three T.A.S.K. members met in person when U. ROSSETTI went to Berlin to play with the YOUNG SCAMP MISS LOGIC and .I.Z. founder of P.L.O..
They formed A.S.K. in 1999, a three piece playing psycedellic folky stuff. Some of it was released in 2003 on their psych folk 3 INCH CD TROUBLE BEHIND TROUBLE AHEAD! on BÄR GRILLT FISCH. By this time another METABOLISMUS member, STARNELLO STALKER, had joined in the band. Thus A.S.K. transformed into T.A.S.K., now playing more straight forward rather COLD WAVED tunes later turning into MINIMALISTIC PSYCH POP.
T.A.S.K. recorded togther from 2003 to 2007 and have made two 3 inches on BGF: THING OF A WING in 2003 and ARE YOU IN ORDER? in 2005.
HASAN NASAL once responsible for the extraordinary drumming for MIDGET is on this 3 inch. Unfortunately he has not shown up very often because of his decision to become a mariner sailing around the globe most of the time.
T.A.S.K.s first Longplayer RELAXING TIME IS OVER came out in 2009 on HEARTWORM PRESS. Some of the tracks that are on the 12" can be heard here.
All basic tracks on this album were recorded LIVE in a Berlin living room studio in the winter of 2005 and the winter months of 2006 - NO SUMMER RECORDINGS.
Only a few overdubbs were played

The band slightly changed its line-up in 2009 and is currently recording new music.
