The Taste - Hobart's Waterfront Festival
The Hobart Summer Festival (HSF) has been Tasmania’s premier summer event, offering many diverse activities and events based in and around the historic Sullivans Cove.
The Taste of Tasmania (The Taste), established in 1988, has been a major event within the HSF program and has comprised a week of activities showcasing some of Tasmania’s best food, finest wine and beverages.
The 2008/2009 Festival promises to bring many new concepts and ideas. The Hobart Summer Festival will be merged with The Taste to become the Taste – Hobart’s Waterfront Festival. To promote the Festival and its new initiatives to the wider community, the Taste Festival is seeking several sponsorship opportunities.
Expressions of interest are now open for:
- Food and beverage stallholders
- Food and beverage theatre presentations
- Daily street food and bevearge vendors
- Stage based performances (including music)
- Conained Taste - a community multi-arts container space
- The Shed DJ & VJ residency programs
- Site specific installations
- Community programs
- Festival Club nightly catering
- Emerging/apprentice chefs
- Kids' Kingdom activities and entertainment
- Local provenance food tours and workshops
