Taste of Doom was founded in autumn of 2003 by the brothers Weber and Mallek Schaefer. In the present Line Up, which was completed by Johannes Rohrbach and Lars H..rtel, the five metalheads play together since October 2004. They dedicated themselves to the Thrash Metal which is fortified with some melodies and sometimes is refined with a little bit of Death Metal.

Already with the first demo tape (really cassette) "No more a slave", which was recorded in the middle of 2004 in own direction, we could draw the attention of the Underground to us. The G.U.C. wrote, e.g., "So the band is not afraid of twining a damned cool Solo (Old School Metal) and also of surprising the listener with rather catchy melodies." Short time later, in January 2005, the 5 Thrasher brought out a 2-track-Promo-CD, from which the song "Back to zero" was published on the sampler No.21 of G.U.C. Another career-climax was an Openergig for Heathen in summer 2005. In October of the same year appeared the in own work recorded 5-track-EP "All Quiet on the west front". From this EP we contributed some sampler to the Deathophobia IX, to the Arising Realm No.13 and to the Arvena Hitverd..chtig Vol.2 and this disc whirled up some dust in the Underground in Germany and abroad. Thus wrote, e.g., the Legacy Magazine: "The catchy and mangy refrains which are bawled mostly by several shout necks can be heard in any case." The Arising Realm Magazine from Austria gave us 7 of 10 points in her 13ten issue. In the internet we got 8 von 10 points from the Metal Observer. Metal Crusade likewise valued with 8 of 10 points and the Metalspheres Fanzine wrote: "Especially while the refrains it is time for holding up the beer glasses and for bawling hard." Abroad, the Underground Press from the south Africa valued the EP as a Featured CD of the month with 4 of 5 points, 7.4 of 10 points awarded Power Play Records from Greece and Music Extreme from Argentina wrote: "The guitar riffs are really aggressive and loud and they are the core of the band creating moments full of violence and hate."
A few interviews, e.g., with the Metal Observer or with Underground Press as "Personality of the week" were made and even a live Review of the concert with Heathen was published on www.bullet-music-explorer.de.
Also in the live-sector Taste of Doom do not sleep and present in numerous concerts their Thrash songs with an uncontrollable play joy, which knows, how to infect.

In Merchandising ToD also were active and brought the first T-shirt (limited on 100 Stk.) among the people which fast was sold out. Besides, you can also acquire patches and badges of ToD.

Till now Taste of Doom still have no record deal and work 100% in own direction. In future, various live gigs and an EP, produced in the studio, are planned.
Also in future it will not be quiet about the five hedonistic Thrasher! See you! Bang the head that doesn't bang!
