Co-founder & former on-air DJ of the HIPHOCALYPSE MOVEment a movement for the advancement of sustainable youth development in SOuthern Africa through the use of hip hop cuture.
A Zimbabwean native who has always been involved in hip hop art & culture since the early 90's.
First got involved in the global hip hop phenomenon at age 16 rhyming under the psuedonom "KraiZ-E" in a 3 man crew called the "Hip Hop Henchmen (HHH)" in Harare.
Released a video mixtape titled "Homeboy TV" featuring music videos and HHH rhyming over popular 90's tracks like the Westside Connection's "Bow Down" and Dr Dre's "Eastside Killer/ Westside Killer" beat.
First real noteworthy achievement was establishing the HIPHOCALYPSE radio show with dorm-mate Nkanyiso "So" Mthembu on the student broadcast station at Rhodes University, Rhodes Music Radio (RMR), in Grahamstown South Africa in February of 2000.
The show grew from strength to strength into a MOVEment of local hip hop heads gathering critical acclaim & listenership from all over Grahamstown & surrounding areas.
Awarded the inaugural RMR "Show of the year award" in 2003 for outstanding community contribution.
The Show is now a permanent feature on the RMR line-up 7.5years running!
Eventually landed a couple of DJ spots doing niche DJing less rare authentic hip hop at local nightclubs.
Released 2 independant mixtape compilation CD's titled the HIPHOCALYPSE Mixtape (2004)& HIPHOCALYPSE Re-mixtape (2005).
Currently syndicating fort nightly (bi-weekly) podcasts showcasing talented (mainly) SouthERN African hip hop artists on the come up.
