    Tatiana Moroz is a woman with moxie... her original songs are lyrical, melodic, and introspective but with a raw power rarely heard in music today. Her voice is sultry and passionate, but possesses vulnerability and an unforgettable incandescent beauty. On first listen, her music rings true in the heart of every listener. She has crafted her own style: a gutsy, fresh, and distinct sonic blend of old and new that renders her a modern classic. A graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, she is currently based out of NY. Her music is singer-songwriter pop infused with rock, folk, and blues. She has 2 full CDs and 2 EPs available on Itunes, Amazon, CD Baby, and other online outlets. Her debut album "Tatiana" features 12 songs performed by a full band with all music was written, sung, and produced by Tatiana. Her new LP, "Love and Liberty" will be released Memorial Day 2012 and showcases her incredible vocal ability in an acoustic setting. Its themes go beyond your typical love and heartbreak; this album highlights her growth as a person and her value for liberty and freedom. She is currently featured in over 8000 theaters nationwide via a placement in Screenvision, and is touring around the country singing for thousands. My name is Tatiana, and I’m a singer-songwriter. When it’s late, and I realize that there is truly nothing or no one around to save me but myself, I pick up my guitar. I pour everything into the music, as cliche as that sounds, and then I don’t feel nearly as terrible. I don’t know what other salve I could use. I grew up in North Jersey (first Clifton then Wayne) and I started singing when I was 10. I always knew I wanted to perform. I loved words, and grew up listening to Phantom of the Opera, Cat Stevens, Carly Simon, and Madonna. Even though I wasn’t the coolest kid on the block, when I went to Poland (which I did every summer since I was 5), I was a rock star. One time, I was at a camp, and people literally crowded around the cabin chanting, “We want the American girl! We want the American girl!” Yes, I had my own friggin band o’ groupies. Back in NJ, my social life blossomed. I kept performing in the school choir and musicals, and I took guitar lessons. I listened to Nirvana, Guns and Roses, Fiona Apple, Jewel, Alanis Morissette, the Indigo Girls, Beatles, Doors, and Janis. I rocked out at Phish, NIN and Pink Floyd concerts. At Berklee College of Music, I studied jazz vocals and music business. After I graduated, I returned to NYC, where I immediately began working in some of the top recording studios, using my music business background. Really, I just wanted a place to figure out where I was headed, and a studio was still a more creative place than a label job. That’s where I fell in love with a good man that wasn't the right one, followed by a complete psycho-- which ended terribly and sadly. The bad romance left me heartbroken, but with the record as my motivator, my asylum from the daily horror show, I completely finished my first album. It is my sparkling indie debut of 12 songs, “Tatiana” written, sung, and produced by yours truly. This seems to be the theme of my life, and sometimes people are like, “Why don’t you write a happy song? Why don’t you smile more?” blah blah. I truly love life and try to take advantage of its gift. But the fact of the matter is, I’ve been through some really rough stuff, and the only thing I have ever had to keep my sanity is my music. I’ve said this before, but it’s the one sure way I can turn anything horrible into something of beauty. The control I have over at least that one thing gives me peace and a sense of purpose. I love knowing that others can share in this – it’ a brief, but true, solution to loneliness, heartache, and all that. Anyway, I do write happy songs sometimes dammit! And I do smile in pictures! Whatever people think, I’m beyond thrilled that my new record, Tatiana, is done and I can move on into the future, loving life. Somehow, with my ’68 Gibson acoustic guitar and my album, I feel like the world is open and free…..
