I was born in Clearwater, Florida. I was adopted at the age of three. My parents, O'Cain and Evelyn Thumbtzen were both educators. My father a principal of an elementary school and my mother an art teacher. My heritage is an exotic mixture of Native American, (Cherokee) Cuban and Black. It was tough having parents who were strict with academics. Because I was the kid who starred out of the class window day dreaming constantly. Or drawing pictures of horses, ballerina's or even portraits of imaginary people. Fortunitly, my art was so good, my Mom had a weak spot for my talent and she would ease up a bit on the fact that I didn't put the same energy or interest into my homework, as I should have. I have always felt spiritually connected somehow. Appreciating things that others seem to take for granted. Or don't even notice. I am a true romantic, who has always been unlucky in love. But my love of the art world and the Great Spirit above keep me going. My personal love of dance started when I was six years old. I would become the prodigy of Violette Verdy, (at the age of eight) a prima ballerina for George Ballenchine, and the founder of The New York City Ballet Company. So at thirteen, my parents selflessly let me move to New York on a scholarship for "The School Of American Ballet" at the afamed Julliard. I would be scouted in dance class one day by Barry Lategan, for a Modern Bride Magazine layout. Lategan was the fashion worlds acclaimed photographer, who discovered "Twiggy" in the 6o's. I then furthered journey and Antonio Lopez would take me under his wing. He had discovered the memorable talents of Jerry Hall, Jessica Lange, Pat Cleveland and Grace Jones. Modeling would then over ride the world of dance for me. And I would leave ballet professionally. But kept my dance as an added plus as a model. On the way to an audition in 1984', guess who I would find pounding the pavements at a mere five feet in front of me? Michael Jackson. The King of Pop!. Nine years later this memory would give me something to share with him, as I was cast to Co-Star in his music video "The Way You Make Me Feel". For this was true destiny. Because I had day dreamed many times, (perhaps out of that same school window) about meeting and working with Michael. I believe everything in life does have a reason and purpose. And fate and destiny do exist. In 1994' I left Hollywood dissapointed and disillusioned for the tropical scenary and peace of mind to write my book, (which derived from my journal) with my co-author Tonia Ryan. It was a carthartic experience and helped me spiritually to release a lot of pain from many hard lessons I had endured along my journey. Back in L,A (2008') I'm older, stronger, wiser.....and still!..unlucky in love. But I'm better than ever. Who says that getting older is "Bad"?...(te he he hee!...pundt intended)
