    April 18th a lady came to Hot Shots Java where I sell pull pork sandwiches on Saturdays. She fumbled in her pocket and pulled out a $20 bill, extended her hand to me and asked "You're the who feeds the wounded in Germany, aren't you?" Yes, I replied. "I would like to give this to you" handing me the bill. "You fed my son in Germany and I thank you for that". As tears welled up in my eyes I walked over and gave her a big hug. "He called me the day after and said, Mom, a man from your area came and gave us a BBQ, it made me feel like home" More tears...

    I cannot stop doing this, I cannot stop bringing a bit of home and happiness to our wounded troops. They need it, they deserve it. Please donate on my web site or directly to the American Legion at PO Box 245, Poulsbo, WA 98370 ear mark your check for TaTu BBQ.

    Hello all,<br /><br />Well, it's getting closer to the 4th of July when I'm due to BBQ for about 200 wounded soldiers at the USO Warrior Center in Landstuhl, Germany and fund raising is a bit slow. So, I'm asking everyone to dig deep and make it hurt and ask all your friends to do the same. You can send the checks to me @ TaTu BBQ, LLC 15575 Cedar Grove Rd NE Poulsbo, WA 98370. If you feel more comfortable and would like a tax deduction mail your check to the American Legion P.O. Box 678. Poulsbo, WA 98370 and ear mark it for TaTu BBQ.

    WOUNDED SOLDIERS BENEFIT: Legend Harley-Davidson is sponsoring a Texas Style BBQ Saturday, August 16th from noon to 5pm. All proceeds go to providing a traditional home town BBQ for our wounded heroes in Landstuhl, Germany. Food provided by TaTu BBQ and music by Marilyn Kay & Company.
