   About Paul Strachan: Composer
Hi Welcome to my myspace, above is some samples of my music, you can find the full versions on the player on the left of the page.

Radio work from live show and film series.
Press play and wait.

I was born in Scotland and now live in the tourist resort of Pattaya in Thailand, where I work as a production manager for a visual media company. I put together a daily one hour show that is broadcast across the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand. I do voiceovers, subediting, write music for links and adverts, you can see on the left that I also do interviews as well as writing occasional articles for the Pattaya Mail see Pauls Blogs above.
If you would like to see more videos click herefor my personal ones and you can also click here for the Pattaya Mail Youtube page. If you have came to this page via Jameson's The Irish Pub thanks for taking the time to check out my work. See you at Jameson's

The music featured on the Myspace player above are the main themes from a TV show called 'Beyond The Beach' and a remix of 'Untied Nations' There is also a couple of highlights from my radio work in the ghetto blaster above. On the left is the iPod style player which features all the Beyond the Beach music as well as 'Untied Nations' then three tracks from a band I formed with Paul Alger very 80's) called Rose Streets.and an intrumental project called Omerta which is a Homage to the sounds of the 80's. and finally some original compositions I have done for TV.

Over the years my work has went from being very electronic with my good friend Paul Alger - to being more filmic (if thats a word) and I guess thats represented in 'Beyond the Beach' and even more so in 'Untied Nations' which was a soundtrack that I composed for an art exhibition inspired by Kosovo - and relates to my influences on the left of the page.

Music has always been a part of my life - winning talent shows at the age of 13, running my own mobile disco when I was 16 and then going on to being an instrumental member of the Perth Festival of the Arts, introducing Ian Dury, Jools Holland, various jazz, blues and comedy acts to a new audience in the fair city of Perth, as well as commissioning Perthshire Amber by Dougie Maclean

I hope you enjoy my music, please feel free to comment or leave me a message, just type your message in the box below - then hit post, you have to be a myspace member to do this. Alternatively email me at tatuke1@gmail.com

Hi Paul,

The guitar piece was not so much a departure as a return.

Even though I started out with classical music, like many kids do, I spent my teenage years practising hard rock and metal for hours on end.

As for classical music in today's society, well, that is a big topic isn't it.

I, myself, believe there is a place for it beyond accompanying films.

Keep writing!

Alain

Hi Paul
Its a new arrangement but I wrote it 6 or 7 years ago to a dance beat!
I think listening to people like Armstrong helps!
