If you’ve visited my page before, I’m sure that you notice it has undergone some major construction. I’ve only been a “myspacer” for a couple of months now, but already I appreciate the way it’s connecting me to socially conscious people around the world. Being in touch with people keeps you humble, and it keeps you connected. With this realization, I’ve had my staff come up with ideas and ways to make my page more interactive and user friendly, so that I can truly connect with everybody. For a few years, my Blacks in Technology Tour focused on making technology, cross-country communication, and technological information available to everyone, and I think that myspace has provided that forum, especially in connecting with the younger generation. I have received so many uplifting and inspiring messages from my myspace friends, and it means a lot to know that I am making an impact in some way, shape, or form. That’s the goal; to enlighten, encourage and empower!
To sum that up, I’ve jumped on the myspace bandwagon…so I must offer you a little bit about me. I’m 42 now…time flies, but the older I get, the wiser and more accomplished I become, so no complaints here. I am a hard worker and I have so many projects going on that sometimes I tend to get lost in them; in work period. When the time comes, I do want to settle down, but I am trying to do my small part to change the world, and I need a little more time! I travel almost every weekend, giving speeches, participating in forums, doing work with my foundation for young people, and I throw in a vacation every now and then. I work out daily with my personal trainer, and try to eat healthy. I love to run...great stress reliever! I play Scrabble a lot. I love music (from Jill Scott to Talib Kweli to John Coltrane), and I enjoy live performances. I am passionate about learning, about expanding my outlook on life, and about spreading my knowledge around to as many folks as possible. That about sums me up and as much as I talk, I wish I had more to say, but I don’t. Enjoy the page. Please stay current on my shows/upcoming projects and get involved.
Keep the Faith!
