Fake bio: Taxidermy Recital is a musical collective made up of former dyslexic gravedigger Miranda and reknowned metrosexual ass-surgeon Becca.
Formed in 1985, Taxidermy Recital has been touring the Winn Dixie parking lots of greater Alachua county for 36 minutes.
The band split up temporarily in 1991 when Miranda became absorbed in her solo career under the name M.Bla as a Christian rapper.
The band reformed in 1997 after Spice Girl inspiration struck. Embarking on a Georgia tour of Piggly Wigglies, the band gained a rabid following in the southern states.
But tensions mounted between the two artists and in 2003 the duo split up again for Miranda to go to Ghana for a spiritual journey. Meanwhile, Becca fronted alt-country group The White Ponies, opening for such talents as Retail Therapy and Cryptic Tonsils.
When The White Ponies split up in 2005 after two of its members died in a tragic lumberjacking accident, Becca played gay clubs and bar mitzvahs for approximately six months, at which point she was reunited with Miranda at a Hare Krishna retreat.
Inspired by whole foods and hash, the duo reformed Taxidermy Recital in July of 2005.
Real Bio:
Becca and Miranda started writing songs together in July of 2005 and in January 2006 started Taxidermy Recital as a joke. After developing a very small (very very small) cult following, they started playing shows and put out an EP July 17th, 2007 with a supporting 2-show tour. In November of 2007 the girls decided to go their separate ways. Thanks to everyone that helped us along the way.
