TAxi is Rock n’ Roll. Soulful Guitars, smooth bass lines that hit upfront, all held together by tight earth roots drumming. TAxi writes about Love, Life, and most importantly perseverance over anything and anyone. Hailing from Chicago, TAxi is a three piece band comprised of Brian Petzel (guitar and lead vocals), Toby Merrick (bass, percussion, and backing vocals), Jacob Fawcett (drums, backing vocals, percussion, and harmonica), and Paul Solans(Keyboards and Vocals). TAxi plays music that is guaranteed to get your soul moving. Combining their musical influences such as Spoon, Janes Addiction, Wilco, the Rolling Stones, Muddy Waters; TAxi makes music that produces rhythms and riffs that will get your soul shaking and your feet movin.

In October 2007 TAxi recorded “the Stray Dog Demo” simply named after the studio that the three song demo was recorded in. In the spring of 2008 TAxi went into the studio to record there first EP “One Night with ME”. The 5 song EP was recorded in Rantoul, IL at Pie Holden Studios with Engineer Matt Dewine. TAxi has just recently released “One Night with ME” in July of 2008.

During the winter months of 08/09 TAxi spent their weekends working on their second EP(TAxi). Once again TAxi decided to work with MAtt Dewine at PieHolden Studios. The EP was released in the spring of 09' with a celebrated show at the Bottom Lounge. Shortly before this EP was released TAxi added the keyboarding styles of Paul Solans to the mix. The have already begun laying some tracks down on what is expected to be their first full length CD.
