Singer-songwriter-pianist Taylor Giacoma is quickly becoming known on the indie music scene for a distinctive style that has been described both as folky pop and poppy folk - and is probably neither. Originally learning to sing and play piano by ear and later classically-trained, her music is both easily accessible and remarkably complex. Her lyrics are unusually intellectual and highly narrative, taking the listener on uniquely intimate and yet wonderfully universal journeys of love, loss, and perseverance. Her beautiful voice captivates listeners with an extraordinary range and strength that betrays her petite frame.

Her debut album, Transatlantic Lammy, was released in 2007 and has been hailed as a creative success, particularly the transatlantic love song Nearer Than Closeness. Taylor lives in New York, New York with an Englishman and a cat, and also has a home near Manchester, England.

That Silly Blonde	Apr 18 2008 8:54 AM I'm glad things are good with u. I've been really busy. The biz is great. I'm potentially opening three more completely different companies. I'm working 2 jobs as well to keep up with bills. But it's worth it. I think being all 'alone' and having breakdown after breakdown was the most amazing thing that could have happened to me. You have no idea how grateful I am to have you and my NYer friends in my life. You've all taught me so much. :) Now, I'm learning how to fly... hehe. Give me a call anytime.
