My Taylor Story...
I believe that when things are meant to happen, they will happen. When I went to my first Rascal Flatts concert in October of 2006, there was this girl opening the show, standing on stage in a dress and cowboy boots singing songs that she wrote even though no one knew the words. I was lucky enough to meet her after the show, and her kindness absolutely blew me away. And so it began. As I started learning more about Taylor, I realized how truly incredible of a person she is, and that only made me love her more. I bought her cd the day it came out. I started this fansite not long after that (I conceptualized the idea in November of '06, but didn't get it online until May of '07).
I hate to think how different my life would be had I not stumbled upon Taylor and her music. She's done so much for me, and I'll never be able to thank her enough for that. =]
About Me...
My name is Caitlyn, I'm 15 years old and I'm a sophomore in highschool. It may be cliché, but music is my life. Acoustic guitar is my favorite, but I also play 6 other instruments. As for Taylor concerts, I've seen her 13 times and have met her 8 times. I also co-own a fansite for her guitarist, Grant Mickelson - check it out here :]

Hi :-) I'm an 18-year-old voting member of society. I also write songs and sing them in different cities every night. Class of 2008. In my spare time, I like to conduct random baking experiments in my kitchen and write letters to people. I really love people who like my music. They're 1 on my favorite things list. I'm not a big deal. At all. I love people who are nice to me, I've never been one to say things like "All you people think you know me, well you don't". Because I'm not that complicated. My complications come out in my songs. All you need to do to be my friend is like me. My middle name is Alison. And I'm extremely tall. Like, I'm that really tall person that is blocking your view at a concert. On behalf of all of us, we're sorry. My ideal outfit is a sun dress and cowboy boots. When Denny on Grey's Anatomy died, I cried for days. I have beautiful friends. Be one. I've never been the kind of girl who needs a boyfriend. I believe that love will find you when you're not looking for it.. So I've been actively NOT looking for it for about 3 years now. I'll let you know how that works out for me. It probably doesn't help that I write songs about every guy I talk to. All of the pictures from my first CD were taken in a creek five minutes from my house. I grew up on a Christmas tree farm. Seriously. I'm fascinated by black and white pictures, I have them hung up everywhere. Because you can't forget where you came from. I like people who can be sarcastic and laugh about tense situations. I never assume someone's not being honest with me. I like to read up on weird medical problems, so if one of my friends ever complains of a headache or stomach ache, I'm probably going to spout off 12 different things that could be wrong with them. Because I'm way paranoid. I have a fifteen-year-old brother who wanted me to include in here that he's "single and ready to mingle". I think Keri Russell and Ellen DeGeneres are the coolest celebrities ever. I was lucky enough to win a CMA Award this year, and I still wake up some mornings convinced that it was all a dream. Because I never actually think I'm going to win anything. I will never straighten my hair to impress a guy ever again. There's never going to be a time when I'm annoyed by compliments about my music. I need everything to be organized. All the time. I think little kids are awesome. I'm a thinker and an over-analyzer. I'm not jaded. I'm a fan of fans. You are absolutely wonderful to me. I've got your back, just like you've had mine. To anyone who has gone out and bought my CD, or come to a show, or even turned my song up when it came on the radio, all I can say is thank you. I'm going to have a contest for a new banner. All you have to do is create one of Taylor, but associate the fact that we support the Pittsburgh Penguins ice hockey team for the 2009 playoffs in it. If you need an example, just check out my current banner (in the album "Current Default"). Use any pictures you'd like, and I'd prefer the colors black, white, and gold (yellow). Maybe a picture of the Pens symbol somewhere in there. You can Google for those pics. Oh yes, and of course add my site name. You can be creative really... Hey!!! I just posted a new song called "Everything That Went Wong".
I actually wrote this song for my English class! We were supposed to make up a chivalric code, and so I decided to write a code on how to write a country song, and then I wrote this song based on that code :) My English teacher let me perform the song for the whole class, when were supposed to present our codes.
I'd really appreciate it if you guys would go check it out, and let me know what you think :D It's definitely not the best recording, but at least it is something!
