My name is Taytuh. I am a SPOILED ROTTEN PRINCESS!!! I am an English Mastiff. I used to be healthy and have all four of my legs. I loved to play in my yard and chase Smoosh, my foster sister.
One day mom noticed my foot was hurting and I was limping and whimpering.
Mom took me to the vet and the vet took xrays and told mom that I have Canine Osteosarcoma....boooo hoooo. Canine Osteosarcoma is bone cancer. I had to have my front left leg amputated to prevent the spread of the cancer to my body. I did not go through any chemotherapy after I had my leg amputated. My mom thought it would be too much for me. I am doing great though. I can chase frogs around my pool, run, jump, go up and down stairs, jump on and off beds and couches, play tug -of-war and play with my other fur friends! OH and I can dig HUMUNGOUS HOLES with my one front leg and it's funny because my fur brother WRECKS gets blamed for it!! hehehe They don't think I could dig those huge holes because I only have one leg! Boy, I have them fooled! hehehehehe! Send me a line! If you might be struggling with cancer then feel free to message me. Check out my Photos of my leg amputation. I am doing GREAT now!! The doctors said I would only live 90 days (3 months) after my operation. I have been going strong for over 4 years now!! YAY ME!! I went back to my vet June 21st and they saw NO signs of the cancer returning!!!

Hey.. Hope Taytuh is doing better.. We had to put Zeus down do to a intestional blockage we couldnt afford surgery on 5-6-09.. he is greatly missed but he's been back to visit us 3x already. Paula Zeus's MOM ..
I read you story and was very moved I lost a dog to the same thing 20 years ago but the vet did not know it would spread so fast you are lucky to have most of your health and to have somebody to care so much for you some people would not good luck with your battle thanx for spreading the word about rescue
