About me:

I've not long moved to Manchester, I'm still settling in, I know no-one and have no idea where most things bar the Arndale and Primark are, so it'd be nice to meet some people to give me the heads up on where to go and what to do.

I'm a craft and film geek. I'm currently going through a detective gaming phase for my DS. I miss my Family and my Brum Friends as well as my mates who live all over. I'd like to be more outgoing and meet more people, but I'm a social whimp.

Who I'd like to meet:

People who will make me smile, listen to my stresses and vents, and appreciate the simple and tacky things in life

Those who appreciate how certain stuff affects me and won't drop me

Myspace is naughty and never tells me when I have new comments. Pssh!!

The organic food shop thing sounds good, but I reckon you'd be dealing with some annoying snobby nosed customers from time to time! It's better money than you're on now, so why not go for it?! I can't find any jobs in Cheltenham. The situation is pretty dire. I'm stuck at Bannatynes :(

Which HP is coming out? I still have to read the last three books in the series, oops. It's only geeky if you go to the movies alone wearing HP glasses and a thunderbolt on your forehead. x

I love thunderstorms as well! Especially in the summertime, ooh fun. Watching more Glasto now, but quite tired on this lazy day. Went to see The Hangover, so funny and there is a total hottie in it, so I was thoroughly entertained. hehe xx

Don't tell me it's sunny and warm in Manchester today...it's rainy and gross in Liverpool once again. sigh. Have you recovered from the aging Damon Albarn yet? xx

So great seeing you again last night! You jumped into the game with as much gusto as the rest of us! Poor Louise looked so frightened. Btw, you have any plans for next Friday? Want to go to dinner or something, Alex too if he's around? x

Ooh I like the new layout. (Sorry if you did this ages ago, I tend to just hit "reply" on comments!!) How are you? My cat is trying to sniff my face in between my nose and my upper lip - does that body part even have a name?! xx

I know that I have 4 days off in a row some time in June. I will check the dates and let you know. I think it's the third weekend... :) x x x

Haha...that's funny about Al inadvertantly phoning his mum..what noises? Like 'Come on you blue boys' in an old man accent?
Yeah, work are being sound about me being off, they actually sent me home last Monday, they know the full situation because I had to go to the occupational therapist in work and my doc has written a report, so I suppose they've GOT to be fine with it...
    Anyway how're you doing?
  • May 17 2009 4:10 PM

I find dance parties alone in the apartment help greatly. ;-) I have my moments where it annoys me, but then other times, I'm fine with being by myself. I think I'm just used to not being around him, since that's what our whole relationship was like pre-marriage! xx

I want sweeties!!! :( I'm glad you feel better!!! Did you buy the flamingo top? And c'mon, we are ALL guilty of spending too much on clothing when we're feeling down in the dumps x x x

No wedding for him; he'll be twiddling knobs, hehe. I don't mind. Some of my best NY friends will be there, so I'm psyched to see/party with them again!! xx

Hey, yep was signed off for another week, got to go back the doc's tomorrow, see if I can get another note.
I am aiming to go back to work after the bank holiday.
After some beers yesterday was beginning to feel a bit better, but as you know, that comes back to bite you on the arse, and I feel pretty terrible today...
Been up and down, recently, I attempted to go back to work last monday but had to leave, really couldn't face it...
It'll just take time I guess and the uppage of dosage of tablets should help.
Is al still in a bit of a state?
  • May 17 2009 3:49 PM

Oh, he's not a sports guy at all; doesn't watch football, nor do I. His sis and nephew are big into Liverpool though. In two weekends, I'll still be in Rome, poo. xx
  • May 17 2009 2:39 PM

Indeed, fun times last night, got home at 3:30. No hangover today though, woohoo! I must have learned to pace myself. The boy is back, but asleep, so I'm just working on my blog. :-) Is your boy back? xx

Work is OK. I don't like the way that it is dumbing me down though. I can't remember any big words anymore, Tara!! I think I might be having my hours cut. Seriously, this time. Even Duncan Bannatyne cannot beat the recession :( x x x
