My influences come from many music styles. From the quieter ones such as new age, chill-out and ambient, to the heavy ones like trance and metal. The artists which have probably had a major impact on my music making, are Vangelis, Mike Oldfield, Astral Projection, Decoryah, Kit Watkins, musicians from the Amiga scene, and the artists behind the releases of the Em:t record label.
Sounds Like
Vangelis, Mike Oldfield, Jean-Michel Jarre, Enya, Enigma, George Winston, Astral Projection, Tangerine Dream, Steve Roach, Ray Lynch, Santana, Massive Attack, Em:t releases. My tunes cover several styles, and the fusions in-between -- one tune may sound like one of this artists, and another tune like another. The styles represented are new age, chill-out, ambient, trance, acid jazz, funky, space jazz, jungle... and more.
I loved music and computers already as a small child. When about 8 years old, I was programming my own computer games. For this reasons it was natural that at some point I began making music with computers. Before internet got wide-spread, there was another (kind of underground) way to communicate with computers: bulletin board systems. I distributed my works this way, and got in contact with the so-called demo scene. I thus joined groups of creative people, and with them made kind of multimedia creations (so-called demos and intros), some of which won competitions, or got close to it. In that period I was also known as Stun.
The chance to get more known came with the internet. Since I entered the internet world, in 1999, my music started to be downloaded much more than before. From september 1999 to august 2008, my tunes have been downloaded more than 1.6 million times (counting both completed and incomplete downloads and streams).
In year 1998, I unfortunately got injured at the spinal cord, and still now use a wheel-chair. This has not hindered my musical activity.
I took music lessons (harmony, composition, flute, guitar, keyboard), some of which are still going on. Apart from composing, I like improvisation. Instead of learning to play other people's music with the guitar and keyboard, I prefer to become skillful at improvising my own music.
I am not bound to a sinlge genre, but like to experiment.
Visit my main online music archive for downloading my music for free: www.thomasbecker-music.tk. I am in search for a record label.

Mike Oldifield la pensa come me ! Grazie.Spero che ti faccia sentire. Ciao, Giuseppe.

I just stopped by to look what you´re doing these days. I once again listened to NINETEEN MONTH. I really like that track, it has a great energy and forward spin. Keep up this vital guitar playing!
As ever, your fresh and uplifting sounds are such a pleasure to listen to. NINETEEN MONTHS is nothing short of superb. I really dig the bassline and the electric guitar flutters like a butterfly against an electronic wind (something I have described before in other music, but not something easy to achieve. I love the space this piece creates, and the mood.
Hi Thomas Becker! New track uploaded called "I Am" featuring Íse on vocals. This track will probably be the intro to the album "I Am" due to be released after this summer. Cheers
