About me: OK so here's the skinny. Married to an incredible woman for more than 21 years. I have two great kids. My family is my life. I have spent the last 7 years producing, promoting, and organizing concerts, from small rooms to large outdoor festivals and everything in between. I have managed nationally touring bands, networked with dozens of bands, managers, agents, promotors, and labels. I formed a non profit organization, and founded and ran a live music venue in Texas called "The Underground". I have been involved in the local church as a Sunday School Director, Teacher, Preacher, Deacon, Elder, Church Planter, and got burned, not unlike many of you. I discovered I was just "going" to church, and not "being" the church, and believe me there is a huge difference. I have learned a lot through the process, mainly to pursue God, not church, not religion, and not identity. I'm still working on that whole "love your neighbor as yourself thing", and that is enough to focus on. I really do want to connect with people however, you know, just hang and keep it real. I am very community oriented. I look a little different from most "church" peeps. I love tats and have a few of them. Looking at the present, I have just finished writing a book about my adventures, which I hope to have published soon, and hopefully some of you might want to read it. I guess most importantly I'm learning to live in the "now", letting the past go, and looking ahead to the future, and whatever it may bring. Who knows, you might even be a part of that future. If any of this rambling strikes a chord with you, drop me a line, let's hook up.
Who I'd like to meet: You and your friends.
The Comeback of Homer Joy.
Homer Joy, Legendary Country music writer of such songs as "Streets of Bakersfield", "John Law", and many others, makes a guest appearance with longtime friend Buddy Allan Owens.
Tony, it is good to see you on our myspace at Entry Way. I have been thinking about you and your book this week. Let's plan to chat on Sunday and share with each other about going forward with your book. Getting it published by Christmas would be awesome, don't you think? I wish you and your family the best! Chat soon,
Just wanted to let you know I have some samples from my latest album on myspace and would love to here what you think. I had a blast recording it with some of the best in the industry, Like James Burton (Elvis Presley's lead Guitarist) along with many more. Please stop by and have a listen. Blessings Darin Warner
