Touched By Nausea is a 6 piece hardcore punk/crust band from Roodepoort, JHB. Started in February 2005. Some bands we've played with are Solitary Confinement, AWOL, Red Brigade, Light Brigade, Skelm Helm, Hasten The Storm, The Hazards, TDKM, Gross Misconduct, Oi!Rothol, Dean & The Deadbeats, Killer Monsters, Insek, Scum Chums.
TBN started as a 5 piece from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to present, Rozanne (dual vocalist of Skelm Helm) did vocals in Brian's year absence in Europe. With Brian's return in 2008, TBN is now a 6 piece band with dual vocals. We've also adopted a new sound with the new lineup.
Our message is basically to aware people of things that go on around them that they might not be aware of already (we don't know everything like other bands and people do) - the corruption of the government, corruption of politics, corruption of religion, money greed and hate, the world today how bad it is and how it gets worse and more specifically things and events that occur in South Africa which is relevant to the youth of the country. We've heard all the Bush stuff - we also hate him but there's also issues in South Africa like racism, unemployment, AIDS, crime, rape, etc that face us every day. Living life how we are and not giving a shit what people think. The intention is to inform, aware and create rhetoric to listeners. Issues that should be said such as equality, human rights and freedom of speech which just dont exist in our society. It is not all serious, there are some songs that relate to our lives and the way we live life. We talk mainly about the negative side of life - there is also a negative side of life that people sometimes neglect. The world just gets worse, and so many bad things occur all the time. We are not promoting the negative things, just highlighting them and creating an awareness of them. We keep our lyrics as original as possible.
Our AntiCopyright message is that we dont mind our music being copied and spread. We dont want limitations by major record labels who copyright bands. We want to cut out the middleman and take commercialism out of punk. We do feel that bands have their own creativity and we dont agree in copying ideas, lyrics, riffs etc. Just from the music sense, it can be copied.

Water perpetually scars in the world, she's a bitch and she likes to taste it.
gently tickled by moon, this furious lady haven't gave away.
Earth sacrifice for the weaks and strongs but the whirlpools took them away.
Where are those mistress? Our frightening mothers that reign on those elements...
Where are the polar bears? I love them so much.
