Tampa Bay Young Republicans's Interests
General
Mission Statement
What is a Young Republican?
Young Republicans are registered Republicans 40 years old and under, who are interested in taking an active role in Republican party politics. They are organized as a special group because as young people, they have different opportunities and situations to incorporate into their political activity.
Young Republicans take part in GOP activities in their communities, doing everything from voter registration drives, to phone bank operations, to being campaign managers and running for public office themselves. They provide crucial support to the Republican party, and work to ensure the future of the party in their communities and nationwide.
Anyone between the ages of 18 and 40 is eligible to be a Young Republican. The best way to organize is on the local level, because the foundation of the Young Republicans is built from the grassroots level on up.
Purpose of a Young Republican Organization:
A Young Republican ("YR") local Club provides the opportunity for young people who are interested in good government to:
1-Learn about their governmental and political institutions.
2-Participate in the political process.
3-Perpetuate the two-party system on which our political system is built.
4-Become better informed and more involved citizens
Through the YR's, they can develop their political knowledge and understanding of the issues of the day, and as citizens become more effective voters and campaign workers. By participating in the local Club, they may assist in selecting candidates for public office and then may elect those candidates by actively helping them in their campaigns.
YR's provides a unique opportunity for an interested young Republican to meet with the decision makers in society and to meet like-minded individuals in their own community and across the nation.

Please send submissions to Jack K. at secretary@tbyr.org
Thanks for the add! I welcome anyone concerned about illegal immigration to add me. I am not Lou Barletta, I just want to see him run for Congress. I’m still figuring out MySpace, you can also visit: www.louforcongress.com
If I feel depressed I will sing. If I feel sad I will laugh. If I feel ill I will double my labour. If I feel fear I will plunge ahead. If I feel inferior I will wear new garments. If I feel uncertain I will raise my voice. If I feel poverty I will think of wealth to come. If I feel incompetent I will think of past success. If I feel insignificant I will remember my goals. Today I will be the master of my emotions.
Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life.
A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes.
It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results.
On the cusp of the 2008 Election year, youth from around the country will be congregating in Hollywood, California, to engage in a discussion of the state of American democracy. Joined by elected officials and candidates, consultants, staffers, interest groups, media and entertainment personalities from around the country, these youth will create an agenda, prioritizing the action steps that these youth, our Democracy 2.0 Ambassadors, will commit to collectively supporting through 2008. This unique convention is Mobilize.org’s Party for the Presidency, taking place December 29-31, 2007, at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, California.
The Party for the Presidency is part of Mobilize.org’s Democracy 2.0 campaign, a year full of national events, regional forums, and online dialogues that address the need to reinvigorate American democracy with increased civic engagement. Applications are available online or by emailing mobilize@mobilize.org. (If you apply be sure to say the Assoc of Young Americans told you about it!)
