Born William Theodore Carney III, "TC III" grew up in Philadelphia Pa affectionately called "Philly". His first gig was at the ripe old age of 14yrs old. With his Parents Philadelphia Jazz Notables Trudy Pitts and "Mr. C.", Opposite the Mercer Ellington Big Band w/ Phillis Hyman on Vocals and also with Trudy Pitts and "Mr. C." w/Johnny Coles on flugal horn and Rudy Jones on Tenor @ the last Kool Jazz Festival @ The Mann Music Center in Fairmount Park in Philly in 1983 opposite Count Basie, Dizzy Gelespie, Art Blakey, Ella Fitagerald, Miles Davis, and others. He's also worked with Sun Ra, The Heath Brothers, Buster Williams, Joey DeFrancesco, Louis Hayes, James Zolar, Nabuko Kiryu, Roland Alexander, Raph Peterson Jr., Terrence Blandchard, Donald Harrison, Jovan Jackson, Lewis Nash, John Hicks, Peter Washington, JD Allen, Orrin Evans, Tim Warfield, Neal Caine, Pat Matino, Norman Connors, Groover Washington Jr., Philly Joe Jones, Shirley Scott, Gary Bartz, Dr Eddie Henderson, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Wynton Marsalis, Wallace and Antione Roney, Bobby Watson, Curtis Lundy, Charles Fambrough, Patience Higgens, Queen Ester, J.C.
