Born in 1959 in Pasadena, Calif., It was Spring and with a given name like “Thomas Alaysius O‘Carroll Carlson” understand why I call myself “TC“. My love for music started then. Starting out on a violin at Hamilton Elementary in Pomona Ca. at the age of 8 and then onto the Clarinet at Charter Oak High in Covina, Ca. I later moved onto the guitar at the age of 17 during my hitch in the US Army in 1976-1979. Self-taught, I’ve stayed with the guitar until this day. I have a few people that have helped me along the way and each and every one of them is a part of my style that has developed over the years to what is today.
E d Brooks, Kyle Bruner, Bob Butler & Mr. Selth are the top people I would like to thank for the inspiration and advice and teaching’s that I’ve learned from them. Each one of them has played a significant part of who I am today as a musician as well as a person. And if you guy’s are reading this……..THANK YOU! AND GOD BLESS YOU.
After years of raising kids, family and “some friend’s”, I got into a position in 1999 to follow my dream of being on stage with my guitar. After playing with a couple of local garage band’s I decided one day to start my own project so that I could exercise my desire to write. With the help of a couple of my mentors “ Kyle Bruner” on the bass guitar and “Bob Butler” as production engineer and the use of Mr. Butler’s studio A&B PRODUCTIONS in Prescott Az., Ted Fernandez on the drum’s. I’m proud to say that a 30 year old dream came alive.
