The Folk/Acoustic Open Mike night at TCAN has been a tradition since the opening of The Center years ago. And we could try to describe this event by mentioning all the significant songwriters and talented musicians who have played and sung and captured a special moment in time.
But the TCAN Folk/Acoustic Open Mike night isn't about individuals so much as it is about a community. This is a place where creative people meet to exchange ideas, listen to each other’s musical expressions, and forge lasting friendships based on a shared love of music and poetry. The TCAN open mike is less about performance and more about sharing our musical gifts with each other, as well as mentoring and encouraging new performers. And – it’s about rekindling the creative soul hiding in all of us.

A weekly open mike with a feature performer. The Center for Arts in Natick (TCAN) provides performers with a stage and a state of the art lighting and sound system. Very unusual for a folk open mike. New performers are welcomed!! (www.natickarts.org)
Hey everyone, I posted a new music video for my new song "In Neverland" on Youtube.com. You can see it at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd7N4JNqazs If you like it, or not, spread it around for others to see. Thanks a lot for helping out.
Greetings All, I just wanted to drop by to say hello and see how everyone was doing. I have been rather busy myself and performing around quite a bit. I hope to get over and see everyone as I always feel quite at home and enjoy listening to all the talented performers. Have a fabulous week and is it my imagination or is it actually getting warmer? Take Car. Yours Musically, Clayton
Thanks for the add, folks, and for your help in spreading the word about the Taunton River Folk Festival www. tauntonfest. org) and keeping live music alive!
I am so happy to have felt the magic of TCAN last night once again...such wonderful energy, and warm, receptive smiles. This place and the folks who keep it going, are truly gifts to the community. Peace and light, Lori

Thanks for finding me out here in space, I really appreciate it! I've been meaning to get up there for quite a while, but working on the Cape makes it a lonnnnnnggggg day. Listen to my tune 'Driving' to get some insight on that!
Wow! You seem to be a really awesome, professional group! I think we are a bunch of half Irish/half drunk musicians unwinding on a Friday night...ha! ha! Ah, but tis really great fun! Nice to meet you!
