Q: What do you get when a group of guys get board of playing Dungeons and Dragons and wants something new?
A: Team Dragonlance(hence the name).
We are a scenario woods ball team out of eastern Indiana. We started out as a bunch of guys goofing off on Sundays just to be hanging out. After spending many hours of free time (and thousands of dollars )in our local paintball shop (which is no longer in business, hmmm) we were able to meet up with many other people, from all walks of life, to play paintball with. We had groups as small as 10 to as large as 75 playing every other Sunday. Some of them like ,Strider and Strahd, have been playing ever since the late 80’s while others where just starting out. After a few years most players quit while a few of us diehards kept at it. A speedball team was formed at the local paintball shop and a few of us got to experience the fast pace game. Tony (Reaper) was part of the team while Jason (Zero Cool) and Ryan (Strider) were stand ins (Strider only playing a few games). While Reaper, Zero Cool, and Strider enjoyed speedball we didn’t care to much for the political BS, the cheaters, and the cry babies. So we tried our hand at big woods ball games. We enlisted the help of Mike (Strahd), a fellow D&D player and long time paintball player, who brought to the team a wild and crazy but sometimes rude sense of humor. Kyle (Postal), a friend and relative, came on to prove more than once to be a hell of a wing man. With Kevin (Torch),Gari Ann(Mac), Zeros wife, Chris (Bug), Zeros son, our newest and youngest player, Barry and Sam, a fun loving husband and wife team, and Aaron (JR), we set off to hit the scenario fields.Jason(Zero Cool)does alot of research on the internet and keeps up with many other teams and finds the places games are being held. We’ve played many different producers and fields over the years. Producers such as Black Cat, Wayne Dollack, Viper, Wretched 7, MXS and others. We have played in fields all over the state of Indiana, Ohio, and a few in Illinois, and Tennessee. Our style of play has always been the no hiding, no running away, up in the front in your face action, that’s why we wear black and grey with white stripes and lettering for jerseys. We met up with Chi-Town Hustlers at a game in Sherwood Forest IN. and found a great group of friends that play the same crazy way that we play. Most often you will see us running together when we're at the same game. With the help of Chi-town we earned a most valuable team award. We are not into military ranks, team challenges, (but we will play anybody any time just for fun) heavy recruiting, Paintball politics, win at all cost, I’m better than you BS, cry baby wannabes ,and most of all WIPERS. We don’t have any sponsors and were not really looking for any but we’ll take it if the offer is made. We play to have fun and to get away from the grind of everyday life. We play fair and honest and hope to receive the same in return. So in closing if at anytime you see us at a scenario game stop by and say hello, we welcome all, there is nothing better than sitting around the RV telling stories about the days events, and feel free to make fun of Strahds mother everybody else does.
Who I'd like to meet: Any team that doesn’t think they are the best players in the world.
Whats going on knuckleheads?
Your post on PBnation made my day and made my co-workers question my sanity.
It was very nice meeting you and playing with you guys. I'll see you next time.
