About me: Team Gold Bond is a cycling team on a mission to make all of Iowa tingle.
On RAGBRAI 2001 monkey butt struck Waldo and then Ozzy, but they were saved by Gold Bond, the tingly, medicated powder. With Biggie on board in 2002, Team Gold Bond was born and since then we've grown to over thirty riders, a giant party bus and a chase van. Over the years, we've handed out thousands of mini bottles of Gold Bond and personally powdered down thousands more.
We ride fast. We stop often. We're usually drunk. We're always tingly.
We are located all over North Eastern Iowa and have riders from Oklahoma, Colorado, Minnesota, North Dakota, Massachusetts, Illinois, Texas, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and sometimes Canada. We do at least one group ride a month. Look for the team with the party in their pants.
Who I'd like to meet: We like just about everyone, especially if they cycle or are interested in cycling. Folks that don't turn away when the party gets out of control are our sort of folks. We are a touring cycling team and can get competitive out on the road, but we stay clear of any timed events since they remind us of work. We will ride hard if the beer tent is close or if there is a wet t-shirt contest. We are always open to new riders and continue to build our ranks with each season.
