Sounds Like
Wire covers Devo, Von Lmo does Angry Samoans, paper covers rock, Debbi does Dallas ... blah, blah, blah ... whatever. MHz is a band who doesnt like comparisons, especially to bands that already exist. MHz is a band of the future.
Started by Andrew Claydon, Don Blum, and Ben Mancell back in 1999. MHz wanted to play simplistic, sharp edged rock-n-roll. The plan was to bury all the nostalgic movements of the 1990's. MHz had some down time in 2002 when or practice space flooded and Don started touring with the Von Bondies constantly. Don was replaced with Shawn Gates in 2002. Shawn left in 2004 doing on and off shows when he could. Ryan, drummer for The Piranhas, played for us on our 2003 west coast tour. Steve Marton is now our current drummer.
Andy and Steve have a hardcore band called Minus9.
Ben now lives in New York and is playing guitar and synth in the band The Imaginary Icons.
Hey, I just picked up "Harness The Power" at Underground Sounds. I've been looking for it for since I heard you guys in May. Where can I get your other album?
So it's a capital 'T' that's been hanging you up? Don't worry, it's only paint. And paint is easy to remove. If I was your mother and you were my daughter, you would be sleeping already. I wear these pajamas only on weekends. And you think that's healthy? People don't listen to their body until it's too late. I am not dramatic, I am merely being practical.
After last night's lecture, someone commented to me that I must be an army brat because I had such fantastic teeth. Such teeth, he said, could only be the result of good breeding and access to the finest dental care. I explained that though I descend from a long line of Bulgarian nobility, when I was a boy people were still having infected teeth removed by a donkey tied to a rope. Happenstance, I explained to him, is the main reason behind Mustafio's distinguished countenance.
Thanks for the kind comment! And thank you for putting on such a great set at Pogo Mojo... I feel that when the performance is really good, I feed off of that and take better pictures! So it's an equal credit. =)
