Tearsfall is a band located in Turin (Italy), playing a melodic rock with many influences, going from hard and heavy “classic” rock to POP and electro music.
The band started in 2006, out of the ashes of the heavy-goth band Lestat (whose main members, Al and Tear, had been playing in, already for few years), recording a demo-cd named “Frailty”; one year later the 2nd demo, “Love kills”, was born. Those two works gave the band the opportunity to play several gigs around Italy for a couple of years, reaching great feedback from the audience, and improving their live-performance skills.
However, along this whole first period, their music (so-called “love rock” or “goth rock”) was too derivative, and too clearly influenced by the gothic music scene.
That’s when Al, song-writer, guitar player and singer, decided to take a break: the band stopped for a couple of years, during which Al took the chance to travel, grow, make “life experiences” out of which he took inspiration to write brand new songs, inspired by the mix of all the music he always loved: a wide variety of genres, going from the “American new rock” to the heavier “new metal”, from light, commercial music like pop to electro-dance “stuff”, not forgetting the “Scandinavian rock” scene the band was coming from.
And here we are, the result is “Swansongs”: a 5-pieces promo-cd collecting 2 years of life, efforts, joy and delusions. Hard to describe “what it sounds like”: that may be your task; the band’s only aim is to make the songs reach your heart and get their melodic groove (pleasantly) stuck in your head, no matter what kind of music the work recalls.
Hard to describe what the “hit-single” is either: every song has a deep meaning and is different from all the others: Out Of Sight or For All You've Done might tell something about us (yet just a bit) and about the music we play, but we surely hope you’ll enjoy the full promo!
Something more about the band: Al is the singer, guitar player, song-writer and leader of the band; all the members have several years of live and recording experience, both together and in different bands. The band’s average age is 23/24. We’re actually searching for a contract or some way to bring our music to a wider audience, and we’re willing to make any sacrifice in order to be able to do what we love most: play music. Enjoy and stay rock!
