And last but not least we sincerely thank everyone who supports Tears of Othila!
Born several years ago as a solo-project by Marco G. Gardella (Tvmvlvs Seraphim, Sostrah Tinnitus), Tears of Othila is the voyage within the simplest yet deepest way of living.
A way that reveres Nature and Ancestry and values Honor and Nobility.
This is our ancient heritage, the precious gift that the rune Othila reminds us of and that in today’s society is too often forgotten.
As the chant of tradition spread, other people became involved.
It was Davide Zalaffi the first one, playing keyboards and percussions.
As a duo, we held some concerts in the woods.
Just Nature and us...in a “gift for gift” tradition.
Later on, Noemi Ferrari (flute), Enrico Defranchi (violin), Lorenzo Capello (percussions), Elena Nastasi (trumpet) and Marta Defranchi (voice, chorus) joined the project.
In 2006 this line-up recorded the first work from Tears Of Othila and it was called “Renaissance !”.
In July 2007 we played at the Celtic Festival in the forest of Lame (a beloved place, since our very first inspiration came from that beautiful, wild Nature) together with other musicians who helped us to create a very special, nightly event.
We really appreciate the efforts of everyone to support the rebirth of our ancient, natural values and traditions.
Thank you!
