tenor sax no mas.
_______________
i can't believe i ever gave away my tape of morphine's 'cure for pain'. years ago...i wasn't ready. the sax just didn't work for me and i just couldn't get it. i suppose i had to learn to appreciate hall and oates and seals and crofts and the cheesy like before i could handle the more serious indie sax.
___________
by the way: 'Life' on NBC has the most banging soundtrack, i was very impressed by the indie gems in the background... i've only seen the show once so i can't vouch for the show.. but hello LCD Soundsystem, on primetime???
_____

I saw Morphine by mistake in a tiny Lansdown St club when I first moved to Boston in 90 and was MESMERIZED. HOW could they make ALL that SOUND with only a few strings, a saxaphone and a drum??? I saw them three or four more times that year, in equally tiny clubs, never expecting them to get famous. It was a sad day when Mark passed.
