I’ve been in Austin for about three years. I came here from Boston, MA, where I was in graduate school studying classical political philosophy. In addition to my own project, I’m in the McMercy Family Band and I help organize The Austin Secret Show. Check them out; they are in my top friends. My first release, The Particles Don’t Care is out now! You can buy it on CD Baby or .
Praise for The Particles Don't Care:
“[Hadji creates] odd and diverse music typified on his self-released debut, The Particles Don't Care. He blends slow-paced, gentle vocals that scream emo influence along with catchy folk/rock beats. On several tracks, raw emotional vocals and lyrics come together in dark and honest harmony.” The Gambit (New Orleans)
“The opener, 'Page Three Girl', is a full-blooded power pop pastiche with all manner of instruments scurrying around and generally causing mischief. It’s a fun listen – clever, and catchy as hell. It’s kind of The Goon Show meets The Daintees.” Americana UK
I’m starting a new band: Someday Parish. The instrumentation is simple: guitar, upright bass, wurlitzer, accordion and lush harmonies. Watch out!
it was good to see you at the Crow's nest..although you scared the hell out of me I was expecting your head to start spining you Bastard Son of Satan..i am looking forward to Boston see you there..cR
