Writing Novels, speaker, and sportsman-- cycling, hiking, nordic skiing, golfing. I love it. Ballroom dancing, and of course, I try to squeeze in 40 hours of reading a day, or week. Audio books help a lot in that regard.

Not much. I occassionally catch booknotes on CSPAN. I have tried to catch Boston Legal but my VCR isn't cooperating. Now that's technology. Just saw 'Carrier' on public TV. Might be right or not, driving that big thing around must be a hoot.
Books
Taking a break from the heavy stuff now with Mystery of Edmund Drood. Want to know how WMD buffaloed the US into Iran? I recommend 'Curveball.' Oh the perils of gleaning information from human intelligence. My reading list is very eclectic. Some that come to mind...History of Honor-James Bowman. Five Days in London, Enders Game, The Man in the High Tower, Ivanhoe, David Copperfield, Huckleberry Finn, Joe Haldeman-The Forever War. Jack Finney- Time after Time, Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I review books at Amazon.com so cruise over there for the low down on a whole variety of books. Did John McCain really write Character is Destiny. Ernest Shackleton is hard-core.
Heroes
While I have personally seen Colin Powell, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton to drop a few names, there is just something for me about Sherlock Holmes. Talk about insightful. What a mind, too. How'd Sherlock ever get the jump on Google? OK, as for Bill, Colin and Ronnie, I saw each of 'em along with thousands of others, at the time, come to think of it. Others foks I admire...Robert Baden-Powell, Carl Sagan-The Demon Haunted World- not a bad phrase, especially coming from an aetheist. Condoleeza Rice. Mom, Dad, God and oh, my wife!
