Teeã Goans grew up on a dirt road that you won’t find on a map. She was raised on the sounds of an AM radio, and a record collection that could have been found on the jukebox of any honkytonk. From an early age, it was clear that the influences that made country music history were being reborn through a young girl from Missouri.
Teeã began her musical journey singing in church when she was just three years old, and has called the stage her home ever since. By the time she was eight, she was entertaining audiences at local fairs and festivals, which led to her being asked to become a member of the Truman Lake Opry in Warsaw, Missouri. This nine year experience allowed her to prepare for her future career in the music business by expressing her unique style and being able to feel the connection between an entertainer and their audience; the kind of lessons that can’t be taught in a classroom. Not to mention, she was privileged to work with such legends as Bill Anderson and Johnny Russell.
After graduating from college, Teeã moved to Nashville to pursue the kind of career that she had always known she would have since childhood. She has become an avid songwriter, creating the kind of songs that will carry country music into the next generation without forgetting where it came from. She is currently kept busy with her songwriting and her title as Producer for “The Grand Ole Opry Warm-Up Show” and host of “Inside the Opry Circle” on 650 AM WSM and XM Satellite Radio. Her work with WSM has allowed her to learn the music industry through radio broadcasting and has given her the opportunity to meet many of the people who have helped to shape her as an artist.
When asked why she does what she does, the answer is simple: “It’s all I know. My dream is to keep the traditions of country music alive and to share this rich history with a new generation through my music.”
Three new Christmas songs up. With a little Texas swing. "White Christmas", "Winter Wonderland" & "Missing You At Christmas". Come by and let me know what you think. Judy DeRamus with The Jordanaires
I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.
