Teenager hails from Auburn, NY, the city of tattoo parlors and drug stores. The five-member band performs original rock music with tinges of punk, psychedelic and alt-country. Teenager formed in 1998 for one short-lived summer month when the band hosted a weekly open mic night at a local bar. It was a period marked by intense creativity and a sense of purpose. The group disbanded for miscellaneous reasons, but members played together in various incarnations over the years. In January 2007, the band reformed with three of its original members and songwriters—lead guitarist Donny Alger, rhythm guitarist Teddy Curry, and bassist Taylor Price. They were joined by Beth Beer on drums and Theresa Walsh ..boards, accordion and concertina.
The band’s first CD Entitled was released on Dec. 21, 2007. It features 17 multi-faceted gems.

Multi-faceted artist Vince Tosto will exhibit his unique perspective in photography at the Cayuga County Chamber of commerce October 1-31.
"Auburn Abstracted", an exhibit featuring black and white silver gelatin prints will be on view Mondays through Fridays from 9-5 in the lobby at 36 South Street.
The subject of Tosto's photos is local Auburn imagery, capturing unique angles of buildings and people whose character caught the artist's eye. His eye has been shaped by a broad range of artistic experiences and endeavors. Currently a photography major at Onondaga Community College, Vince has already earned an associates degree in studio art at Cayuga Community College. While developing a creative repertoire that ranges from drawing to painting to photography, the artist has also donned the hat of an entrepreneur. His "Experience Fine Arts Studio" on Genesee street in Auburn is described as a "full arts studio", offering graphic art and design service, along with fine art and photography, as well as tattooing and piercing - two crafts his business got its start with three years ago. Plans for a second studio in Syracuse are in the works.
The Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce welcomes regional artist and groups to share their art with the public. Call 315-253-5288 for further information.
