On February 9th 1964 Rock and Roll changed forever when the Beatles Played on the Ed Sullivan show for the first time. Teens all across America were glued to their TV sets as they witnessed what would be deemed as one of the most influential moments in rock and roll history. With their jaws still on the floor and inspiration stirring within, thousands of youngsters knew in that moment that rock and roll greatness was their destiny! The next day in cities and burgs all across the USA teens rushed out to buy their first guitars. The boys all started combing their hair down and department stores sold out of Beatle boots within hours. On February 10th it would seem that 10 million teens had something new to do....
Within days these same awe-inspired youngsters started forming their own renagade rock and roll bands in their parents garages, living rooms and basements. Some of these bands did infact become big nationally, others only had regional hits wherever they lived, and some never actually made it out of the garage. But what all of them unknowingly did do is help shape rock and roll as we now know it today.
What happened to these bands? Who were the kids that played in these bands? What were the scenes like? Who made it big? Who didn't? Why? What was it like? What's their story?
Teen A Go Go is a full length feature documentary slated to be released in 2009 that explores these questions through the eyes and hearts of one particularly surprising influential Texas town. The stories of this Teen Scene are mirrored in cities and towns all across America, but this town stands out in the high volume of quality of songs released and also in the number of musicians who were birthed out of this scene.
This is but one Teen Scene story that serves as both a tribute and an example of what was happening with our youth culture all over our great country between 1963 - 1968.
We welcome your comments, stories and questions and hope you will enjoy our film when it is released later this year!

EIGHT LEGS(UK)
