Teen Anthems are Welsh pop kid John William Davies, whose mission is to create catchy, scabrous, fast'n'furious pop nuggets, and to seek out the perfect hybrid of nihilism, pop and noise.
The Teen Anthems first appeared on the pop cultural map with their bubblegum attack on Brit Pop "I Hate Oasis (And I Hate Beatles)" (a BBC Radio 1 Breakfast show single of the week), and their delicious lambasting of the Welsh music scene "Welsh Bands Suck". Unhinged progress has been made since through the punk rock Brill Building melodies of "What A Girl Wants", the KLF meets Kid 606 Happy Hardcore mash-up "Never Mind The Boy Rock Here's The Steps Pistols", and the jubilant Phil Spector goes punk rock celebration of "Jamie Theakston".

On tonight's show: the Spencer McGarry Season are in session, our monthly techno mix from Som Bom / Acid Casuals, the prodigously talented *KC* launches her latest blog, we have a Demo of the Week [currently not awarded -- deadline for submissions is 3pm today, Sunday 24th] and Soundhog rattles the old music tree to see what falls out.
Please send demo's to: themysterytour@gmail. com [high quality .mp3's, please -- NOT Windows media files].
Hah, I know what you mean, I used to go to a school where everything was sooo technical, always in the darkroom and being told what to do. Luckily this year I have more creative control of what I do and almost no darkroom (I know it's the essence of photography but I have no patience for it and I hate the smell of chemicals). Here's a link to a little flickr I have, I mostly have personal pics there more than school ones, I should be working on one with better stuff soon, portfolio style, but for now take a look at this http://www.flickr.com/photos/comun-europeo/
Hey John, I took a look at your photography site and it's awesome. Is it a hobby or do you work as a photographer? I'm a photography student myself. Have a nice week.
Tonight @ 10pm on BBC Radio Wales: DJ Fuzzyfelt brings in some musical excellence that happens to be sung in Welsh, Soundhog shakes his unfeasibly large record collection to see what falls out, Bethan Elfyn will be on the phone to give us a preview of what is coming up on her new Radio 1 show, Ectogram's Ann Matthews is our newest audio blogger, I will award a new demo of the week and talk to the unfortunate recipient, and there will be lots of new, excellent Welsh music.
Yeah I did! I thought I already told you about it (damn memory). That youth hostel was lovely and so was the town. The only bad thing about it is how hard to access it is if you don't have a car! I ended up having to take a taxi all the way from Haverforwest to Cardiff's airport with a friend because the train service was fucked up on Sunday. That was 150 pounds and the taxi driver gave us a discount, haha!
