Born and raised just a stone’s throw from Toronto’s Dundas Square, songwriting team and lifelong friends Tommy Dillon and JP Kaczur added drummer Mike Sleath in 2004, and the band commenced their exhaustive gigging regimen, which has seen them play to enthusiastic crowds all over southern Ontario. Teeter’s first tour saw them venture into Quebec and the Maritimes in 2007, giving the band a taste of life on the road.
The more recent additions of lead guitarist Marko Rosi and bassist Paul Greenberg provide instrumental depth and experience, and they represent the latest step in Teeter’s development into a mature, polished pop-rock outfit.
This talent is evident on the band’s early demo recordings, but it was the overwhelming popularity of “Kiss Me and Kill Me After,” off their self-titled 2006 EP, that began to put Teeter on the map. Opening slots for rising bands like Faber Drive, Crush Luther, Hopesfall, and Sydney quickly followed, cementing Teeter’s reputation as a band to watch in the fertile southern Ontario rock scene.
Armed with a catalogue of radio hits waiting to happen and a lengthy touring schedule planned for 2008, it can be said with confidence that Teeter is a band on the verge of breaking into the mainstream.
