Prolific composer and producer, Christophe Battery aka Teetoff has emerged on the French music scene in recent years as a gifted, popular and talented figure. In a short period he has already amassed a career total of 6 million sales with his work as a composer and producer for artists such as Big Ali, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Michelle Gayle, Lucki D, Grams (Morgan Heritage), Models, Laam, T.Rio, Lynnsha, Mokobé, Reda Taliani and Anggun among others.
Born in French Guyana and raised in France, Teetoff grew up in a family of gospel singers and musicians and discovered the world of music at a young age. In 1991 he started a gospel group called Sweetness, which toured France as concert headliners as well as the opening act for other major groups. It was not long before he realized that he preferred to work behind the scenes instead of directly in the spotlight. Making quality music became his driving force and making hits became his new-found objective.
Self-taught and inspired by his faith in God, he locked himself in his room and began creating and quickly made name as a successful writer, producer and arranger signing his first publishing deal with XIIIbis Music quickly followed by a long lasting relationship with Universal Music Publishing France/Heben Music.
The ‘Teetoff sound’ is a mixture of Hip Hop and R&B sprinkled with exotic influences including Arabic and Indian music and his résumé of career achievements includes a Gold awarded album “Une Vie Ne Suffit pas” by Laam, Platinum selling albums with Star Academy 2 and Star Academy 4, a Platinum awarded single with “Mama Eu Quero“ T.Rio and a Gold awarded single with “Hommes Femmes” by Lynnsha.
Since 2005 each project Teetoff has been involved with has reached Top 5 in the French charts, which was one of the highest new entries in the French charts this year and Big Ali feat. Dollarman “ Hit The Floor”.
As his desire to create and breakthrough in other countries outside France he recently established his own label in the UK called Battery Entertainment Ltd - Teetoff a ‘force’ to be reckoned with.
