My parents. In a world of shitty parenting, I couldn't ask for more supportive parents. My Dad busted his ass in Pharmacy school to finish second in his class and he's one of the most intelligent people I know. My Mom put up with my shit for so long without killing me makes her a hero in my book. I wouldn't be going to an elite private liberal arts college in Manhattan if it weren't for them.
Frank Zappa: Composer, Satirist, Artist, Genius. Not only could this guy shred guitar like a champ, but he could write the most beautiful symphonies the 20th Century saw. On the other hand, he also wrote songs like "Don't Eat the Yellow Snow", "The Illinois Enema Bandit", and "Why Does it Hurt When I Pee". He transcended genre and was one of the few people I'd slap the "genius" label on. He also stood up for the First Amendment and made Congress look like idiots during the PMRC hearings.
